Seattle Chocolate's small and mighty company is owned and led by CEO Jean Thompson, a seasoned and self-taught chocolatier. Their entire chocolate line is certified Kosher, and many varieties are also non GMO project verified, gluten-free and vegan. Seattle Chocolate has a deep commitment to giving back to their roots, while also supporting and donating to organizations that better the lives of American families, specifically those groups dedicated to abolishing hunger here in the U.S.

In 2012, Seattle Chocolate created the jcoco brand with a focus on feeding hungry families, at its core. For each jcoco bar sold, they donate a serving of fresh healthy food to one of their four food bank partners.

Seattle Chocolate is passionate about cacao and the people and communities who grow it. They began using Rainforest Alliance Certified™ cocoa in their core line in April 2014. Rainforest Alliance certification is a long term, robust, and sustainable approach to addressing unjust labor practices, preserving and protecting the environment, and bettering the economic situation of cocoa farmers and their families. Today they have 37 bars that bear the Rainforest Alliance Certified™ cocoa seal, including their beloved San Juan Sea Salt truffle bar. Look for the frog logo on the back of all of their bars.
