DIZZYING ARRAY OF MELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH TRUFFLE BARS AND BONBONS, WRAPPED UP IN A FULLY ILLUSTRATED STORY.
Seattle Chocolate presents Maeve. A dizzying array of the most fun flavors wrapped up in a fully illustrated story. Find yourself (and your favorite treat) in Maeve. Creamy and crunchy, sweet and salty bliss, blackberries and rich dark chocolate slow-dancing in the moonlight...and that’s just the beginning.
Since their founding in 1991 in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, Seattle Chocolate has been creating their signature melt-in-your-mouth truffle bars and bonbons. But when the original chocolate factory was destroyed by the 2001 Nisqually earthquake, Jean Thompson, Entrepreneur, Mother, and Investor, took the reins. Since then, their products have only gotten more innovative, more environmentally friendly, more colorful, and (somehow) even more delicious.
The road to becoming Maeve began as a conversation between Jean and her daughter, Ellie. Ellie essentially grew up in the Seattle chocolate factory (an actual dream come true) and officially joined the company in 2019. Maeve (named after a fiery first-century Irish warrior queen) may have started as a pipe dream between the two, but quickly became a reality as they realized the impact our small-but-mighty Seattle brand could have nation-wide. Ultimately, our goal is to give as many consumers as possible an ethical, delicious, and FUN choice when buying chocolate.
10% of their net profits fund projects to improve the lives of cocoa farmers, including digging wells for fresh water, funding savings and loan programs, planting seedlings to protect the future of cocoa, and more. It’s imperative that their cocoa farmers are paid well and able to live quality lives. Whenever possible, they source directly from the farmers who grow the beans used in their chocolate. In locations where they aren’t able to do so, they’re proud to source Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa.
Seattle Chocolate also brings you jcoco, a fresh, contemporary approach to American chocolate. Beautiful packaging and unique taste combinations set this line apart. Created with a strong philanthropic mission, giving back to the community is at the heart of Jcoco’s mission.
